Announcing a new Meetup for Boston Cards and Conversation!

What: March's New Member Mixer

When: Monday, March 15, 2010 6:30 PM

Where:
Not Your Average Joe's Restaurant Station Landing Medford, MA
501 Fellsway
Medford, MA 02155
(781) 393-9681

Each month we have a New Member Mixer to allow some of the new members to mix and mingle with the C&C regulars. It's an open format tonight -- bring your favorite board or card game, along with some stories to tell smile

Here's a taste of what we may be seeing:

  • Apples to Apples: The wild, award-winning card and party game that provides instant fun for four to ten players! It's as easy as "comparing apples to apples"... just open the box, deal the cards, and you're ready to play!

Select the card from your hand that you think is best described by a card played by the judge. If the judge picks your card, you win that round. And everyone gets a chance to be the judge! Each round is filled with surprising and outrageous comparisons from a wide range of people, places, things and events. Fast moving and refreshing, Apples to Apples is perfect for any get together with family and friends!

  • Things: Things you would like to do with chocolate.

    What would you say?

    1. Write down your answer. (You can write anything that comes to mind... so be as provocative and fun as you want)

    2. Read all of the answers out loud.

    3. Then try to figure out who said what! You won't believe the outrageous answers your friends will come up with!

  • Bananagrams: The word game that is sweeping the nation... I guarantee you can't play just one game!!!

Maria is your host tonight, and our last new member mixer in Medford had a lot of interest, so this will fill up fast. RSVP now while you still can wink

HOW TO GET THERE

This location is easily accessible from Rt. 16, Rt. 28 and Rt. 93, and is walking distance from the Wellington Orange Line subway stop, near the new Station Landing apartment complex. Although there is free parking around the building, we recommend that C&C members park in the garage underneath the restaurant.

If you are driving, be aware that Station Landing is at the intersection of Rt. 16 and Rt. 28, and you can enter the Station Landing complex from the north-bound side of Rt. 28, or the east-bound side of Rt. 16. There are a number of stores in the Station Landing complex -- look for Starbucks or Qdoba. Not Your Average Joe's is right next to these shops, and has a blue and white sign.

So don't just sit at home -- come join the fun!
