I'm sure that some of you will be gone for the Labor Day weekend. But for those who are not planning on going anywhere... why not get together with your C&C buddies for a couple of hours? Laurel will be hosting today's event at Bruegger's in Melrose.
This is an open event today, but today's theme is college games -- think of all those games you played in college. What games did you play? (Unfortunately, the drinking games are off the menu for today
) Here are some ideas from a couple of our members:
If you are in the area, we'll be playing throughout the afternoon. Hope to see you there!
HOW TO GET THERE
We'll be meeting at Bruegger's Bagel Bakery in Melrose. This location has nearly everything you could ask for in a location... space to play, free parking, food and drink, and not-too-crowded restrooms.
By Subway: Access to Melrose via public transportation on a Sunday is kind of spotty, but it is doable. Take the Orange Line to Oak Grove and take the 136 bus. On Sunday's this bus leaves Oak Grove at 11:45am and 1:15pm, and will drop you off in downtown Melrose a couple building from the event location. Here's the 136 schedule: http://www.mbta.com/s...
By Car: Melrose is easily accessible from Rt. 93, Rt. 1 and Rt. 28. Bruegger's is in the heart of downtown Melrose, located on Main Street. Plenty of free parking is available behind the building. Here's a link to Google Maps for directions: http://maps.google.co...
Someone left a pair of sunglasses which I left with the counter-person. Hopefully if they are yours, you will be able to stop by Bruegger's and pick them up as you find the time!
