"You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation."

WHO WE ARE

C&C (Boston Cards and Conversation) is one of the most popular communities in Greater Boston. We get together to play different types of games as a way to socialize and meet new people. We have an active membership that is amazingly diverse, with singles and couples of all ages. All are welcome.

WHAT WE DO

The majority of our events are indoors, where we allow members to mingle while playing card and board games.  However, we also play outdoor games and sports too -- like miniature golf, laser tag, pool, bocce, geocaching and more! Our goal is to provide ways to meet people, and to allow you to make connections on a personal and professional level.  Nothing like a game of Apples to Apples to get the conversation rolling!

WHERE WE MEET

We hold about a dozen events a month at locations in or north of Boston. Most of our events are T-accessible. Some our most common locations are Boston, Melrose, Medford and Woburn.  Outdoor or non-board game events are usually held north of the city.  (Live or work south of Boston?  Check out our sister group, Mass Fun and Games!)

WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL

Our members say that we provide some of the best events on Meetup.  Our events tend to be well organized into order to provide our members a premium experience.  Because of our unique format, we ask that all of our members participate in our community.  Please do not join if you do not intend to come to our events. Membership requires approval, and all members must agree to follow our group membership policy before joining.

"My name is Emily, and I just moved to Boston a few days ago. I grew up playing cards with my family, and I'm looking to make some new friends in the Boston area. I'm interested in science, sports, writing, and of course, cards."

"I enjoy playing cribbage, card games, and board games. I am not an intense competitor though and am as interested in the fun of the game as the game itself."

"ah yes, if Team Slay could have only seen the photo of King's NIL hand while it was played, perhaps they could have possibly stopped his impressive streak of NILs in the series, which is an ever present threat, as well as SUM's near misses...fear not..."

"As previously mentioned, it's minus 50 points for an assisted NIL. We play by official Spades Federation rules only. With that admission of cheating, it's now a 285-point annihilation. The score sheet has been corrected."
